A collectible holder is disclosed. The collectible holder has lid and base components that removably engage one another to define an interior compartment for housing and displaying a planar collectible item. An incorporated dual magnetic closure system having two pairs of cooperating magnetizable elements, each pair sharing a spaced-apart relationship, one pair housed in a recess in the lid component and the cooperating pair housed in an aligned recess in the base component. Raised peripheral edging projecting outwardly from the exterior surfaces of both the lid and the base components creates a protective stand-off that prevents surface-to-surface scratching when a plurality of assembled cases is stacked and provides a stable stacking registry. The base component is provided in a family of interchangeable configurations having different interior compartment depths to accommodate collectibles of varying nominal point thicknesses, each base configuration being compatible with a single universal lid component.
