Abstract
An article of footwear includes an upper, an outsole, a first foam pod comprising a first material, and a second foam pod comprising a second material that is different from the first material. A forward pod region is disposed between the upper and the outsole in a forefoot region of the article of footwear. A rear pod region is disposed between the upper and the outsole in a heel region of the article of footwear. The first foam pod is disposed in the forward pod region and the second foam pod is disposed in the rear pod region. The forward pod region includes a first plurality of cavities, the first plurality of cavities being exposed along a lateral side of the article of footwear.
Claims30
An article of footwear, comprising:
- an upper;
- an outsole;
- a first foam pod comprising a first material;
- and
- a second foam pod comprising a second material that is different from the first material,
- wherein a forward pod region is disposed between the upper and the outsole in a forefoot region of the article of footwear,
- wherein a rear pod region is disposed between the upper and the outsole in a heel region of the article of footwear,
- wherein the first foam pod is disposed in the forward pod region and the second foam pod is disposed in the rear pod region, and
- wherein the forward pod region includes a first plurality of cavities, the first plurality of cavities being exposed along a lateral side of the article of footwear.
An article of footwear, comprising:
- an upper;
- and
- a sole structure, the sole structure including:
- a stabilizer coupled to the upper;
- a first pod contacting a lower surface of the stabilizer;
- a second pod contacting the lower surface of the stabilizer;
- and
- an outsole having an inner surface, the inner surface contacting the first pod and the second pod,
- wherein the first pod and the second pod are disposed between the stabilizer and the outsole, and
- wherein the first pod includes a first cavity extending from a lateral side to a medial side of the sole structure, the first cavity exposed on the lateral side of the sole structure.
An article of footwear, comprising :
- an upper coupled to a stabilizer;
- a first foam pod and a second foam pod disposed below the stabilizer;
- and
- an outsole opposite the stabilizer relative to the first foam pod and the second foam pod,
- wherein a first plurality of cavities extending from a lateral side of the article of footwear to a medial side of the article of footwear are disposed in the first foam pod,
- wherein at least a first cavity of the first plurality of cavities is disposed in a forefoot region of the article of footwear, and
- wherein a second plurality of cavities extending from the lateral side of the article of footwear to the medial side of the article of footwear are disposed in the second foam pod.
An article of footwear, comprising:
- an upper;
- an outsole;
- a first foam body comprising a first material;
- and
- a second foam body comprising a second material that is different from the first material,
- wherein the first foam body and the second foam body are disposed between the upper and the outsole,
- wherein the first foam body includes a plurality of cavities extending from a lateral side to a medial side of the article of footwear, and
- wherein a first cavity of the plurality of cavities is smaller than a second cavity of the plurality of cavities, the first cavity being disposed in a forefoot region of the article of footwear.
