Oil-based dispersion compositions of solid particulate hygroscopic or water-soluble pesticides

13) A non-aqueous pesticidal suspension concentrate composition comprising,

• a) a compound of structural formula (A), in solid particulate form,
• a compound of structural formula (B)
• b) aqueous solution of alkylpolysaccharide surfactant comprising,
• alkyl polyglycoside, alkyl polyglucoside or mixtures thereof,
• c) alkoxylated adjuvant,
• d) anionic surfactant selected from,
• i) phosphate or phosphonate-based surfactant;
• ii) sulphate or sulphonate-based surfactant;
• and
• iii) combination of phosphate or phosphonate-based surfactant and sulphate or sulphonate-based surfactants
• e) triethylamine,
• f) methyl soyate, and optionally
• g) additional pesticidally active compound, such as flonicamid
• wherein,
• r and s are each independently, between greater than 0 and 12, and
• L is one or more of methanol, ethanol, propanol, isopropanol, butanol, isobutanol, t-butanol, cyclohexanol, 2-Ethyl Hexanol, alkylbenzene, tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol, ethylene glycol, glycerol, methyl acetate, ethyl acetate, ethyl lactate, butyrolactone, ethylene carbonate, propylene carbonate, acetonitrile, dimethyl sulphoxide, dimethylformamide, dimethylacetamide, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, N-octyl-2-pyrrolidone, N-decyl-2-pyrrolidone, acetone, butanone, methyl isobutyl ketone, methyl propyl ketone, acetophenone, cyclohexanone, methylene chloride, trichloromethane, trichloroethane, tetrahydrofuran, diethyl ether, 1,2-dimethoxyethane, dioxane, methyl-tert-butyl ether, ethanolamine, pyridine, chlorobenzene, toluene, xylene or tetramethyl urea, and the content of L comprises equal or less than 5% w/w of the composition, wherein the amount of water comprising the aqueous solution of alkylpolysaccharide surfactant is between greater than 0% w/w, and equal or less than 5% w/w based on the weight of the non-aqueous pesticidal suspension concentrate composition and the non-aqueous pesticidal suspension concentrate composition is characterized in that propylene glycol is essentially absent.

15) A pourable, storage stable concentrated Pymetrozine oil-based dispersion composition, characterized by low viscosity, and stable water dispersibility having the following percentage content by weight of the complete dispersion composition,

• (a) pesticidal ingredient comprising solid particulate Pymetrozine or solid particulate pre-hydrated Pymetrozine, between greater than 0% and equal or less than 40% w/w,
• (b) non-insecticidal formulation aids between 0.2% and equal or less than 30% w/w, wherein said non-insecticidal formulation aids are selected from the group of,
• i. emulsifier/surfactant between about 1% to about 10% w/w.
• ii. dispersant, greater than 1%-10%.
• iii. thickener and/or rheological additive, 0.1-3%.
• iv. end-use dispersibility stabilizer/compatibilizer regulator 2%-20%
• v. water between greater than 0% w/w, and equal or less than 5% w/w, other than any water associated with the pre-hydrated Pymetrozine if present, and
• vi. any and all combinations of two or more thereof,
• (c) oil-based liquid carrier added up to 100%,
• wherein, the pesticidal ingredient optionally comprises an additional pesticidal compound such as flonicamid and the composition is optionally packaged in a container.

93) A method for preparing the composition as claimed in any one of 1-92, comprising the steps of,

• a) introduce oil-based liquid carrier to a vessel,
• b) add non-insecticidal formulation aids other than the thickener and/or rheological additive, if present,
• c) mix until homogeneous
• d) add the Pymetrozine and optionally an additional pesticide compound if present, while agitating at high shear,
• e) add thickener and/or rheological additive if present, and apply high shear to obtain a dispersion,
• f) mill the dispersion,
• g) package the obtained milled dispersion in container,
• wherein said container is selected from one or more of,
• i) container impermeable to moisture, such that the % water content of the contained OBPD does not increase by more than 5% w/w after a period of storage in the container at 40° C./75% RH;
• ii) container impermeable to light such that the Pymetrozine content is not photodegraded by more than 5% w/w when stored exposed to sunlight and/or artificial light with wavelengths between 250 to 400 nm;
• iii) container impermeable to both moisture and light such that the % water content of the contained OBPD does not increase by more than 5% w/w after a period of storage in the container at 40° C./75% RH and the Pymetrozine content is not degraded by more than 5% w/w when stored exposed to sunlight and/or artificial light with wavelengths between 250 nm to 400 nm,
• wherein the water content other than any water associated with pre-hydrated Pymetrozine if present, is maintained by said container at less than 5% by weight of the complete dispersion during storage at elevated temperature and/or elevated relative humidity such as storage for at least two weeks at 54° C. and/or at least one month at 40° C./75% RH.
