Irrigation controller interfaces and associated systems, devices, and methods

A method for irrigation control comprising:

• receiving, at an irrigation controller interface device, power from an irrigation controller device in electrical communication with the irrigation controller interface device;
• receiving, at an irrigation controller interface device, an instruction from a cellular data modem;
• generate, at the irrigation controller interface device, irrigation instructions in a first format based on the instruction;
• generating, at the irrigation controller interface device, one or more messages in a second format based on the irrigation instructions in the first format, wherein the first format and second format are different;
• transmitting, from the irrigation controller interface device, the one or more messages to the irrigation controller device, wherein the one or more messages cause the irrigation controller device to activate a plurality of first valves in accordance with the irrigation instructions;
• and
• monitoring, at the irrigation controller interface device, current or power within a common wire of the irrigation controller device.

A non-transitory machine-readable medium comprising a plurality of machine-executable instructions which, when executed by one or more processors, are adapted to cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

• receive an irrigation instruction from a cellular data modem in a first format;
• generate one or more messages in a second format based on the irrigation instruction in the first format, wherein the first format and second format are different;
• output the one or more messages to an irrigation controller device, wherein the one or more messages cause the irrigation controller device to activate a plurality of first valves in accordance with the irrigation instructions;
• and
• monitor current or power within a common wire of the irrigation controller device.
