Semiconductor die with a vertical transistor device

A semiconductor die with a semiconductor body, the semiconductor die comprising:

• a vertical transistor device comprising a source region at a first side of the semiconductor body and a drain region at a second side of the semiconductor body;
• a current sense transistor device comprising a sense source region and a sense drain region in the semiconductor body;
• an additional resistance integrated in the semiconductor die,
• wherein the current sense transistor device is configured to sense an electrical current through the vertical transistor device, and
• wherein the additional resistance is arranged on a drain side of the current sense transistor device.
