Abstract
Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for performing cell selection/reselection on a radio frequency associated with a network slice. One method performed by a user equipment (UE) may include receiving a broadcast message indicating a persistence check value for a cell and generating a random value during a cell reselection procedure, comparing the generated random value to the persistence check value and selectively stopping the cell reselection based on a result of the comparison.
Claims20
A method of a User Equipment device (“UE”) in a mobile communication network, the method comprising:
- receiving a broadcast message indicating a persistence check value for a cell;
- generating a random value during a cell reselection procedure;
- comparing the generated random value to the persistence check value;
- and
- selectively stopping the cell reselection based on a result of the comparison.
A user equipment (UE) for wireless communications, comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- a processor coupled with the memory and configured to cause the UE to:
- receive a broadcast message indicating a persistence check value for a cell;
- generate a random value during a cell reselection procedure;
- compare the generated random value to the persistence check value;
- and
- selectively stop the cell reselection based on a result of the comparison.
A base station for wireless communications comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- a processor coupled with the memory and configured to cause the base station to:
- determine a radio resource control (“RRC”) idle state load for a cell;
- select a persistence check value based on the RRC idle state load, wherein the persistence check value is associated with the generation of a random value during a cell reselection procedure;
- and
- transmit a broadcast message indicating the persistence check value for a cell.
A method of a base station for wireless communications, the method comprising:
- determining a radio resource control (RRC) idle state load for a cell;
- selecting a persistence check value based on the RRC idle state load, wherein the persistence check value is associated with the generation of a random value during a cell reselection procedure;
- and
- transmitting a broadcast message indicating the persistence check value for a cell.
