In-The-Ear Hearing Device Having a Removable Seal Module

A hearing device system comprising:

• a hearing device core including a battery, a microphone, a receiver, and control circuitry that are operably connected to one another;
• an in-the-ear hearing device hearing seal module comprising:
• a sleeve-shaped seal carrier that defines a longitudinal axis and that is configured to be inserted into an ear canal, wherein the seal carrier includes a sound outlet at a medial end of the seal carrier when the seal carrier is inserted into the ear canal;
• and
• at least one seal element provided on a shell surface of the seal carrier;
• wherein the hearing device core is at least partially inserted into and positioned by the seal carrier;
• and
• wherein the seal carrier is secured to the hearing device core by a releasable form-fit coupling.
