Abstract
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to, among other things, generating reminders based on information from applications. For example, triggering events such as other users and/or locations can be used to configure reminders. Additionally, in some examples, reminders can be generated based at least in part on user interaction with an application, where state information can be saved and associated with the reminders.
Claims14
A method, comprising:
- at a computer system that is in communication with a display and an input device:
- displaying, via the display:
- a reminder user interface element that corresponds to a reminder;
- and
- one or more configuration user interface elements for configuring the reminder;
- while displaying the reminder user interface element and the one or more configuration user interface elements, detecting, via the input device, an input corresponding to a configuration user interface element of the one or more configuration user interface elements;
- in response to detecting the input corresponding to the configuration user interface element, displaying, via the display, one or more configuration options corresponding to the configuration user interface element of the one or more configuration elements;
- while displaying the one or more configuration options corresponding to the configuration user interface element of the one or more configuration elements, detecting, via the input device, an input corresponding to a configuration option of the one or more configuration options;
- and
- in response to detecting the input corresponding to the configuration option of the one or more configuration options, configuring the reminder based at least in part on the input corresponding to the configuration option of the one or more configuration options.

- the configuration user interface element of the one or more configuration user interface elements corresponds to a time configuration user interface element;
- the configuration option is a date option;
- and
- configuring the reminder based at least in part on the input corresponding to the configuration option includes setting a day during which a notification of the reminder is to be provided.
The method of claim Error! Reference source not found., wherein the date option includes a “today” option, a “tomorrow” option, or a “this weekend” option.
The method of claim Error! Reference source not found., wherein:
- in accordance with a determination that a current day is a weekend day, the one or more configuration options includes a “next weekend” option;
- and
- in accordance with a determination that the current day is not a weekend day, the one or more configuration options includes a “this weekend” option.

- the configuration user interface element of the one or more configuration user interface elements corresponds to a location configuration user interface element;
- the configuration option of the one or more configuration options is a location option;
- and
- configuring the reminder based at least in part on the input corresponding to the configuration option includes setting a location at which a notification of the reminder is to be presented.
The method of claim Error! Reference source not found., wherein the location option includes a “home” option, a “work” option, or a “location of interest” option.
A computing device, comprising one or more memories storing computer-executable instructions and one or more processors in communication with the one or more memories, the one or more processors configured to execute the computer-executable instructions stored on the one or more memories to at least:
- display:
- a reminder user interface element that corresponds to a reminder;
- and
- one or more configuration user interface elements for configuring the reminder;
- while displaying the reminder user interface element and the one or more configuration user interface elements, detect an input corresponding to a configuration user interface element of the one or more configuration user interface elements;
- in response to detecting the input corresponding to the configuration user interface element, display one or more configuration options corresponding to the configuration user interface element of the one or more configuration elements;
- while displaying the one or more configuration options corresponding to the configuration user interface element of the one or more configuration elements, detect an input corresponding to a configuration option of the one or more configuration options;
- and
- in response to detecting the input corresponding to the configuration option of the one or more configuration options, configure the reminder based at least in part on the input corresponding to the configuration option of the one or more configuration options.
A computer-readable storage medium storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a computing device, configure the one or more processors to perform instructions comprising:
- displaying:
- a reminder user interface element that corresponds to a reminder;
- and
- one or more configuration user interface elements for configuring the reminder;
- while displaying the reminder user interface element and the one or more configuration user interface elements, detecting an input corresponding to a configuration user interface element of the one or more configuration user interface elements;
- in response to detecting the input corresponding to the configuration user interface element, displaying one or more configuration options corresponding to the configuration user interface element of the one or more configuration elements;
- while displaying the one or more configuration options corresponding to the configuration user interface element of the one or more configuration elements, detecting an input corresponding to a configuration option of the one or more configuration options;
- and
- in response to detecting the input corresponding to the configuration option of the one or more configuration options, configuring the reminder based at least in part on the input corresponding to the configuration option of the one or more configuration options.
