Abstract
A first radio frequency fingerprint is generated based on a first communication protocol data transmission to an access point. A second radio frequency fingerprint is generated based on a second communication protocol data transmission. The second communication protocol data transmission uses a different communication protocol than the first communication protocol data transmission. In response to finding a match between the first radio frequency fingerprint and the second radio frequency fingerprint, a single connected device is detected as a transmitter of both the first communication protocol data transmission and the second communication protocol data transmission.
Claims20
A computer-implemented method comprising:
- generating a first radio frequency fingerprint based on a first communication protocol data transmission to an access point;
- generating a second radio frequency fingerprint based on a second communication protocol data transmission, wherein the second communication protocol data transmission uses a different communication protocol than the first communication protocol data transmission;
- and
- in response to finding a match between the first radio frequency fingerprint and the second radio frequency fingerprint, detecting a single connected device as a transmitter of both the first communication protocol data transmission and the second communication protocol data transmission.
A computing device comprising:
- one or more memories;
- and
- one or more processor devices coupled to the one or more memories and configured to:
- generate a first radio frequency fingerprint based on a first communication protocol data transmission to an access point;
- generate a second radio frequency fingerprint based on a second communication protocol data transmission, wherein the second communication protocol data transmission uses a different communication protocol than the first communication protocol data transmission;
- and
- in response to finding a match between the first radio frequency fingerprint and the second radio frequency fingerprint, detect a single connected device as a transmitter of both the first communication protocol data transmission and the second communication protocol data transmission.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium that includes executable instructions configured to cause one or more processor devices to:
- generate a first radio frequency fingerprint based on a first communication protocol data transmission to an access point;
- generate a second radio frequency fingerprint based on a second communication protocol data transmission, wherein the second communication protocol data transmission uses a different communication protocol than the first communication protocol data transmission;
- and
- in response to finding a match between the first radio frequency fingerprint and the second radio frequency fingerprint, detect a single connected device as a transmitter of both the first communication protocol data transmission and the second communication protocol data transmission.
