Abstract
Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to maintaining and using a persistent fidelity score to grant access and subsequently grant/deny access to a computer-based system (e.g., or data therein) by user entities. As may be implemented in accordance with one or more embodiments, a persistent fidelity score concerning characteristics associated with a user entity is generated based on activity of the user entity over a time period during which the user entity accesses a computer-based system. Continued access to the computer-based system by the user entity is selectively granted or denied during the time period, in response to the persistent fidelity score being within a threshold tolerance and based on characteristics associated with the user entity.

A security-based access system comprising:
- one or more processing circuits configured to:
- maintain a plurality of indicators of compromise for a monitored environment, the indicators of compromise comprising respective interaction points configured for interaction by a user entity, wherein each of the one or more interaction points is associated with a security value;
- generate a fidelity score for the user entity based on the security values associated with the interaction points with which the user entity has interacted over a monitoring period;
- update the fidelity score after the user entity is provided access, and during an ongoing access session of the user entity;
- and
- execute a response based on the updated fidelity score, wherein the response is selected from a pre-configured playbook, and wherein the pre-configured playbook comprises at least one available response that includes controlling an access to a computer-based system by the user entity.
A method performed by a security-based access system, the method comprising:
- accessing a plurality of indicators of compromise for a monitored environment, the indicators of compromise comprising respective interaction points configured for interaction by a user entity, wherein each of the one or more interaction points is associated with a security value;
- generating a fidelity score for the user entity based on the security values associated with the interaction points with which the user entity has interacted over a monitoring period;
- updating the fidelity score after the user entity is provided access, and during an ongoing access session of the user entity;
- and
- executing a pre-configured response based on the updated fidelity score to control an access to a computer-based system by the user entity.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a set of instructions, wherein an execution of the instructions by a security-based access system will cause a method to be performed, the method comprising:
- accessing a plurality of seeds for a monitored environment, the seeds comprising respective interaction points configured for interaction by a user entity, wherein each of the one or more interaction points is associated with a security value;
- generating a fidelity score for the user entity based on the security values associated with the interaction points with which the user entity has interacted over a monitoring period;
- updating the fidelity score after the user entity is provided access, and during an ongoing access session of the user entity;
- and
- executing a pre-configured response based on the updated fidelity score to control an access to a computer-based system by the user entity.
