Sequence-based signal processing method and apparatus

A method comprising:

• determining a sequence {fn} for physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmission in a wireless communications system,
• wherein fn represents an element in the sequence {fn},
• wherein fn meets fn=A·xn·exp(2π·j·a·n), 0≤n≤11,
• wherein n is an integer, A is a non-zero complex number, a is a real number, xn=u·exp(π·j·sn/4), u is a non-zero complex number, sn represents an element in the sequence {sn} consisting of 12 elements, and the sequence {sn} belongs to a second sequence set or a third sequence set,
• wherein the second sequence set includes following sequences:
• {−1, −3, 3, −1, −3, −3, −3, −1, 1, −1, 1, −3}, and {−1, 1, 3, −3, 1, −1, 1, −1, −1, −3, 1, −1}, and
• wherein the third sequence set comprises following sequences:
• {−3, −1, 3, −3, −3, −1, −3, 1, −1, −3, 3, 3}, {−3, −3, 3, −3, −1, 3, 3, 3, −1, −3, 1, −3}, {−3, −1, −1, −3, −3, −1, −3, 3, 1, 3, −1, −3}, {3, −1, −3, 3, −3, −1, 3, 3, 3, −3, −1, −3}, {−3, −1, 3, 1, −3, −1, −3, 3, 1, 3, 3, 1}, and {1, −1, 3, −1, −1, −1, −3, −1, 1, 1, 1, −3};
• and
• processing a first signal for the PUCCH based on the sequence {fn}, wherein the first signal is received on 12 subcarriers.

An apparatus comprising:

• a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium including executable instructions;
• and
• a processor coupled to the non-transitory computer-readable storage medium;
• wherein the executable instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the apparatus to:
• determine a sequence {fn} for physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmission in a wireless communications system,
• wherein fn represents an element in the sequence {fn},
• wherein fn meets fn=A·xn·exp(2π·j·a·n), 0≤n≤11,
• wherein n is an integer, A is a non-zero complex number, a is a real number, xn=u·exp(π·j·sn/4), u is a non-zero complex number, sn represents an element in the sequence {sn} consisting of 12 elements, and the sequence {sn} belongs to a second sequence set or a third sequence set,
• wherein the second sequence set includes following sequences:
• {−1, −3, 3, −1, −3, −3, −3, −1, 1, −1, 1, −3}, and {−1, 1, 3, −3, 1, −1, 1, −1, −1, −3, 1, −1}, and
• wherein the third sequence set comprises following sequences:
• {−3, −1, 3, −3, −3, −1, −3, 1, −1, −3, 3, 3}, {−3, −3, 3, −3, −1, 3, 3, 3, −1, −3, 1, −3}, {−3, −1, −1, −3, −3, −1, −3, 3, 1, 3, −1, −3}, {3, −1, −3, 3, −3, −1, 3, 3, 3, −3, −1, −3}, {−3, −1, 3, 1, −3, −1, −3, 3, 1, 3, 3, 1}, and {1, −1, 3, −1, −1, −1, −3, −1, 1, 1, 1, −3};
• map the sequence {fn} to 12 subcarriers to generate a first signal;
• and
• send the first signal on the PUCCH.

An apparatus comprising:

• a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium including executable instructions;
• and
• a processor coupled to the non-transitory computer-readable storage medium;
• wherein the executable instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the apparatus to:
• determine a sequence {fn} for physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmission in a wireless communications system,
• wherein fn represents an element in the sequence {fn},
• wherein fn meets fn=A·xn·exp(2π·j·a·n), 0≤n≤11,
• wherein n is an integer, A is a non-zero complex number, a is a real number, xn=u·exp(π·j·sn/4), u is a non-zero complex number, sn represents an element in the sequence {sn} consisting of 12 elements, and the sequence {sn} belongs to a second sequence set or a third sequence set,
• wherein the second sequence set includes following sequences:
• {−1, −3, 3, −1, −3, −3, −3, −1, 1, −1, 1, −3}, and {−1, 1, 3, −3, 1, −1, 1, −1, −1, −3, 1, −1}, and
• wherein the third sequence set comprises following sequences:
• {−3, −1, 3, −3, −3, −1, −3, 1, −1, −3, 3, 3}, {−3, −3, 3, −3, −1, 3, 3, 3, −1, −3, 1, −3}, {−3, −1, −1, −3, −3, −1, −3, 3, 1, 3, −1, −3}, {3, −1, −3, 3, −3, −1, 3, 3, 3, −3, −1, −3}, {−3, −1, 3, 1, −3, −1, −3, 3, 1, 3, 3, 1}, and {1, −1, 3, −1, −1, −1, −3, −1, 1, 1, 1, −3};
• and
• process a first signal for the PUCCH based on the sequence {fn}, wherein the first signal is received on 12 subcarriers.
