Abstract
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, monitoring first communications over a primary channel, detecting, based on the monitoring, jamming in the primary channel, activating, based on the detecting of the jamming, a secondary channel, and conveying, based on the activating, second communications over the secondary channel using light, acoustics, or a combination thereof. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Claims20
A device, comprising:
- a processing system including a processor;
- and
- a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations, the operations comprising:
- monitoring first communications over a primary channel;
- detecting, based on the monitoring, jamming in the primary channel;
- activating, based on the detecting of the jamming, a secondary channel;
- and
- conveying, based on the activating, second communications over the secondary channel using light, acoustics, or a combination thereof.
A non-transitory machine-readable medium, comprising executable instructions that, when executed by a processing system including a processor, facilitate performance of operations, the operations comprising:
- determining that a primary communication channel is jammed;
- based on the determining, detecting a signal strength associated with a secondary communication channel that exceeds a threshold;
- and
- based on the detecting, conveying first data via the secondary communication channel using light, acoustics, or a combination thereof.
A method, comprising:
- establishing, by a processing system including a processor, a communication language for a wireless communication link;
- activating, by the processing system, the wireless communication link based on a determination that another communication link is jammed;
- and
- transmitting, by the processing system and based on the activating, first data via the wireless communication link using the communication language.
