Abstract
The embodiments of the present application provide a signal compensation method, an electronic device, and a passive optical network system, and specifically relate to the field of communication. The method comprises: increasing signal chirp; by means of the increased chirp, generating a dispersion compensation amount; and by means of the dispersion compensation amount, compensating for a signal dispersion penalty.

A signal compensation method, comprising:
- increasing a signal chirp;
- generating a dispersion compensation amount through the increased chirp;
- and
- compensating for a signal dispersion penalty through the dispersion compensation amount.

A passive optical network system, comprising:
- an OLT and an ONU connected through an ODN, wherein the passive optical network system further comprises:
- a processing unit, wherein the ONU is connected with the ODN through the processing unit, and the processing unit is configured to increase a signal chirp;
- generate a dispersion compensation amount through the increased chirp;
- and
- compensate for a signal dispersion penalty through the dispersion compensation amount.
