Abstract

An electromagnetic reaction wheel includes an annular tube, a plurality of coil assemblies, a magnetic assembly, and a control unit. The annular tube has a chamber. Each of the plurality of coil assemblies includes a plurality of first coils and a plurality of second coils. The plurality of first coils are disposed on an outer surface of the annular tube. The plurality of second coils are distant from the annular tube. The plurality of first coils and the plurality of second coils are arranged in Halbach array sequence. The magnetic assembly is movably disposed in the chamber of the annular tube. The control unit is electrically connected to the coil assemblies and is adapted to control the plurality of first coils and/or the plurality of second coils to be energized or de-energized, so as to drive the magnetic assembly to move relative to the annular tube in the chamber.
