Abstract
A handheld crimping tool that includes a tool body, a ram, and a drive system. The tool body has a housing and a working end. The ram is movably positioned within the housing between a retracted position and an extended position. The ram is closer to the working end in the extended position. The drive system includes a sprocket rotatably positioned within the housing. The sprocket can rotate as the ram moves from the extended position to the retracted position.

A handheld crimping tool comprising:
- a tool body having a housing and a working end;
- a pair of jaws movable relative to the working end between a closed position and an opened position;
- a chamber disposed within the housing and configured to receive a plurality of terminals;
- a drive system disposed within the chamber, wherein movement of the pair of jaws from the closed position to the opened position is configured to advance the drive system;
- wherein movement of the pair of jaws toward the closed position is configured to crimp a first terminal of the plurality of terminals;
- and
- wherein advancement of the drive system is configured to automatically index a successive terminal of the plurality of terminals toward the working end.
