Abstract
A connector is for holding a terminal including a mating terminal connecting portion and a crimping portion to be crimped to a wire end, and includes a housing formed with a cavity capable of accommodating the terminal and a terminal holding member mountable on the housing at a primary locking position and a secondary locking position. The terminal holding member includes a locking lance temporarily lockable to the terminal in the cavity at the primary locking position and a locking protrusion lockable to the terminal in the cavity at the secondary locking position. The locking lance includes a retracting protrusion having a retracting contact surface.
Claims11
A connector for holding a terminal including a mating terminal connecting portion and a crimping portion to be crimped to a wire end, comprising:
- a housing formed with a cavity capable of accommodating the terminal;
- and
- a terminal holding member mountable on the housing at a primary locking position and a secondary locking position,
- the terminal holding member including a locking lance temporarily lockable to the terminal in the cavity at the primary locking position and a locking protrusion lockable to the terminal in the cavity at the secondary locking position,
- the locking lance including a retracting protrusion having a retracting contact surface, and
- the retracting contact surface being formed at a position where the retracting contact surface contacts the crimping portion to resiliently deform the locking lance in a direction separating from the terminal by a movement of the terminal holding member from the primary locking position to the secondary locking position.
