Abstract
A battery according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: an electrode body in which a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate are stacked with a separator therebetween; an exterior can which houses the electrode body and has an opening at one end; and a sealing body which closes the opening of the exterior can. The exterior can has an identification indication formed on the inner surface thereof.

A battery, comprising:
- an electrode assembly in which a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate are stacked with a separator interposed between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate;
- an outer housing can that houses the electrode assembly, and has an opening at one end of the outer housing can;
- and
- a sealing assembly with which the opening of the outer housing can is capped, wherein
- the outer housing can has an identification mark formed on an inner surface of the outer housing can.

A method of producing a battery comprising:
- an electrode assembly in which a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate are stacked with a separator interposed between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate;
- an outer housing can that houses the electrode assembly, and has an opening at one end of the outer housing can;
- and
- a sealing assembly with which the opening of the outer housing can is capped, wherein
- the outer housing can has an identification mark formed on an inner surface of the outer housing can,
- the method comprising forming the identification mark by irradiating, with laser light, the outer housing can from outside toward the inner surface.
