Highly Flexible, Low-Resistance Cable Cell Without Electrode Tabs

Abstract

A highly flexible, low-resistance cable cell without electrode tabs. The cable cell includes: (1) a cable electrode assembly that includes an inner electrode support, and in sequence, one or more inner electrodes, an outer separation layer, and an outer electrode spirally wound around the inner electrode support; and (2) a laminated embedded member spirally wound around the cable electrode assembly. The laminated embedded member is spirally wound so as to expose the outer electrode. Alternatively, the cable cell includes: (1) a cable electrode assembly that includes two or more inner electrodes, and in sequence, an outer separation layer and an outer electrode spirally wound around outer surfaces of the two or more inner electrodes; and (2) a laminated embedded member spirally wound around the cable electrode assembly. The laminated embedded member is spirally wound so as to expose the outer electrode.
