Abstract
Provided is a method for stabilizing and immobilizing uranium at source via formation of a mineral film mediated by microorganisms. The method includes the following step: forming the mineral film on a surface of a uranium-containing waste through mediation by acidophilic iron-oxidizing microorganisms using an additional ferrous source.

A method for stabilizing and immobilizing uranium at source via formation of a mineral film mediated by microorganisms, comprising the following step:
- forming the mineral film on a surface of a uranium-containing waste through mediation by acidophilic iron-oxidizing microorganisms using an additional ferrous source.
A passivation solution, comprising acidophilic iron-oxidizing microorganisms and an additional ferrous source.
