A patient examination and education system employs cover sheets for an articulating medical examination table as a source of information and a focus point for dialogue between physician and patient. A roll of sanitary cover sheets is maintained on a rear surface of the back of an examination table. The examination table sheets bear medical information and accommodate instruction and dialogue between doctor and patient regarding medical conditions and associated treatments for the patient. The sheets not only facilitate, but also prompt discussion between physician and patient and provide medical illustrations to aid in such discussions. Notes may be written upon the sheets and the sheets separated from the roll and taken with the patient after the examination session. The illustrations are keyed to particular specialties or practices of the physician, surgeon or other practitioner.
