The present patent application relates to a bow mechanism for string instruments, designed for continuous and controlled sound production. The mechanism comprises a rotating wheel encircled by a circumferential layer, where a first portion is tightly secured around the wheel and a second portion extends outward, forming a gap. When the wheel rotates and the second portion is pressed against at least one string, vibrations are induced, producing sound. In some embodiments, the wheel is elastic, enhancing flexibility during bowing. In further embodiments, the circumferential layer is wrapped with natural or synthetic hair strands, secured by interweaving, anchoring, or a tension-locking mechanism, mimicking traditional bow hair for improved friction and tonal control. The mechanism is adaptable for various string instruments, including violins, cellos, and guitars, for both acoustic and electric applications.
