System and method for real-time binary code translation on apparel

A system for translating binary code patterns on garments to text, the system comprising:

• a custom garment displaying a unique binary code pattern;
• a mobile computing device comprising:
• an image capture device configured to capture image data;
• a display;
• a processor;
• and
• memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the mobile computing device to:
• activate the image capture device in response to user input;
• capture image data of the binary code pattern on the custom garment;
• process the captured image data using optical character recognition to identify binary digits within the binary code pattern;
• convert the identified binary digits to text using a conversion algorithm;
• and
• display the text on the display in real-time.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

• receiving, by a mobile application executing on a mobile device, user input to activate a scanning mode;
• activating, by the mobile application, an image capture device of the mobile device;
• capturing, by the image capture device, image data of a binary code pattern displayed on a custom garment;
• processing, by the mobile application, the captured image data using optical character recognition to identify individual binary digits within the binary code pattern;
• converting, by the mobile application, the identified binary digits to text using a binary-to-text conversion algorithm;
• and
• displaying, by the mobile application, the converted text on a display of the mobile device in real-time.
