Abstract
A backlight and gesture detection device including: first elements for emitting white light; second elements for emitting infrared radiation or visible light; and third elements for detecting infrared radiation or visible light emitted by the second elements, wherein the first, second and third elements are electrically connected to a same substrate.

A backlight and gesture detection device comprising:
- first elements for emitting white light;
- second elements for emitting infrared radiation or visible light;
- and
- third elements for detecting infrared radiation or visible light emitted by the second elements,
- wherein the first, second and third elements are electrically connected to a same substrate,
- the device comprising a plurality of elementary chips, each comprising one or more elements among one of the first elements, one of the second elements and one of the third elements.
