Abstract

A cooking appliance includes a door for closing a cooking chamber, a housing designed to form a stowage space into which the door is retractable, a guide carriage, and a guide part arranged in the stowage space for guiding the guide carriage in a retracting movement of the door into the stowage space. The guide part includes, when viewed in a vertical direction of the cooking appliance, a top guide track and a separate bottom guide track. The guide carriage includes guiding elements which make contact with the top and bottom guide tracks in order to guide the guide carriage, with at least one of the guiding elements resting on the bottom guide track from above and at least a further one of the guiding elements making contact with the top guide track from below.
