Abstract
A modular structure antifreeze valve, intended to be installed along a pipe of a conditioning circuit in which an operating fluid circulates, has a valve body on which a pipe portion and a housing portion are obtained; inside the housing portion a thermostat valve is removably housed that includes a thermostat element coupled at a part thereof arranged below in use to a pre-assembled cartridge on which an outlet is obtained and inside which a plug is slidable and is retained open in a draining position for a fluid temperature lower than a limit temperature, and closed for a fluid temperature above the limit temperature. This antifreeze valve is flexible in installation, suitable for assembly of automated type and easy to maintain.
Claims14
Modular structure antifreeze valve, intended to be installed along a pipe of a conditioning circuit in which an operating fluid circulates, comprising a valve body on which a pipe portion is obtained to put said antifreeze valve in fluid connection with said pipe of said conditioning circuit, said pipe portion having an inlet and an outlet, which are reversible, for said operating fluid and extending substantially along a first axis, and comprising a housing portion inside which a thermostat valve is housed removably, said housing portion extending substantially along a second axis, wherein said thermostat valve includes a thermostat element that is coupled at a first side thereof with a first spring, wherein said thermostat valve comprises a pre-assembled cartridge, said thermostat element being removably coupled at a second side thereof with said cartridge, which comprises a cartridge body on which an outlet and a cartridge opening are obtained, on the same axis with respect to said second axis, and inside which a liner element is arranged, which is locked in position, defining a sliding chamber inside which it is slidable along said second axis, and is retained, a plug coupled with a second spring, in turn housed inside said sliding chamber, said second spring being configured to exert an action on said plug, along said second axis, so as to position said plug in a drainage position, for a temperature of said operating fluid below a set limit temperature, in which said opening is open, thus enabling said operating fluid to be drained, and wherein said thermostat element is configured so as to expand, for a temperature of said operating fluid above or the same as said limit temperature, along said second axis, exerting in this manner an action on said plug that is able to overcome the action of said second spring and position said plug in a closed position in which said outlet is closed by said plug, the latter comprising a seal suitable for ensuring an hermetic closure of said outlet when said plug is in said closing position.
