Abstract

A one-piece timing chain tensioner guide is provided that includes a rear face and an opposite front face spaced apart from the rear face by a width. The guide has a curved outer surface, and an opposite curved inner surface separated from the curved outer surface by a thickness, the curved outer surface and the curved inner surface extending along a length of the tensioner guide from a first end of the guide to a second end of the guide. A first through hole positioned near the first end of the tensioner guide and extending from the rear face to the front face is also present. The timing chain tensioner guide provides superior performance and durability, particularly under increased loading and fatigue compared to conventional guides.
