The fastener assembly comprises a central body having a substantially cylindrical cross-section, a pair of radial lips extending circumferentially outward from the central body, a pair of hex engagement portions extending axially outward from respective radial lips and having hexagonal outer profiles, and a threaded bore extending through a full axial length of the fastener assembly. The threaded bore receives a first bolt from a first end and a second bolt from an opposing second end. An annular channel defined between the radial lips around the central body receives a tether tied around the central body for interconnecting a pair of fastener assemblies to prevent separation and loss during installation and removal at the flanged joint.
