An assembly for a gas turbine engine, the gas turbine engine defining an axial direction and a radial direction, the assembly comprising:
- a hub shaft supporting a fan blade of the gas turbine engine;
- a propellor shaft connected to a gearbox, the propellor shaft disposed aft of the hub shaft in the axial direction;
- a connector fixing the hub shaft to the propellor shaft;
- and
- a bearing disposed on the hub shaft forward of the connector in the axial direction.
A gas turbine engine defining an axial direction and a radial direction, the gas turbine engine comprising:
- a fan including a fan blade;
- a gearbox;
- and
- an assembly for connecting the fan blade to the gearbox, the assembly comprising:
- a hub shaft supporting the fan blade;
- a propellor shaft supported by the gearbox, the propellor shaft disposed aft of the hub shaft in the axial direction;
- a connector fixing the hub shaft to the propellor shaft;
- and
- a bearing disposed on the hub shaft forward of the connector in the axial direction.
