Abstract
The present disclosure is directed to a coating composition comprising: (a) a film-forming binder; (b) rare earth metal oxide particles; and (c) magnesium oxide particles having a particle size measured along a shortest axis of the particle of at least 1 micron. Also disclosed are coatings, coated metal substrates, multi-layer coated metal substrates, and methods for coating substrates.

A coating composition comprising:
- (a) a film-forming binder;
- (b) rare earth metal oxide particles;
- and
- (c) magnesium oxide particles having a particle size measured along a shortest axis of the particle of at least 1 micron as measured by TEM.
