A compound effective in reducing GPI-anchored CD59 expression or activity in liver, skeletal muscle, or adipose tissue, or any combination thereof, for use in the treatment of a liver disease or condition in a subject in need thereof.
A compound effective in reducing GPI-anchored CD59 expression or activity for use in the modulation of weight loss in a subject in need, said modulation of weight loss comprising maintaining weight, reducing weight, or reducing increased weight gain compared with a subject not administered said compounds.
A compound effective in reducing GPI-anchored CD59 expression or activity in the liver, skeletal muscle, or adipose tissue, or any combination thereof for use in the treatment of diabetes or a related condition in a subject in need thereof.
