Resealable food storage container and cover mechanism thereof

A cover mechanism for mounting on an upper edge of a surrounding wall of a container body of a resealable food storage container to seal a container space defined by the surrounding wall, comprising:

• a cover unit which is attached to the upper edge of the container body to seal the container space in an airtight manner, said cover unit including a cover body and an airtight ring which is disposed on said cover body and interposed between said cover body and the surrounding wall of the container body;
• and
• a lift operating member which is pivotably disposed on said cover unit about a pivot axis, said lift operating member including an operating portion and an abutting portion which extend diametrically opposite to each other from said pivot axis;
• wherein, with rotation of said lift operating member about said pivot axis, said lift operating member is operably shiftable relative to said cover unit between a closed position, where said abutting portion is interposed between said cover body and the upper edge of the container body, and an opened position, where said airtight ring is removed upwardly from the surrounding wall of the container body, and during the rotation of said lift operating member from the closed position to the opened position by upwardly operating said operating portion, said abutting portion abuts downwardly against the upper edge serving as a fulcrum, and said lift operating member is turned and lifted upwardly relative to said cover body so as to remove upwardly said airtight ring from the container body.
