An information processing device comprising:
- a recognition unit that recognizes a road sign included in a captured image captured by a camera mounted on a vehicle traveling on a road;
- a storage unit that stores a result of the recognition recognized by the recognition unit;
- and
- a notification unit that notifies a driver of the vehicle of sign information about the road sign based on the result of the recognition, as information about a road section, after the vehicle passes an installation point of the road sign.
An information processing method, the method executed by an information processing device, the method comprising:
- recognizing a road sign included in a captured image captured by a camera mounted on a vehicle traveling on a road;
- storing a result of the recognition recognized in a storage unit;
- and
- notifying a driver of the vehicle of sign information about the road sign based on the result of the recognition, as information about a road section, after the vehicle passes an installation point of the road sign.
