Abstract

Provided is an object to provide a melter device for a plunger-type injection molding apparatus that has a vertical structure and includes no resin extrusion screw, the melter device melting resin material (resin pellets). This melter device for the injection molding apparatus includes: a melter portion that forms a rectangular box-shaped housing structure, and internally has a plurality of melt ports that completely penetrate upward and downward and have smaller horizontal sectional areas at the upper end than at the lower end; and heater-accommodating portions that are provided at least on one of large-width outer walls of the melter portion and a lower part therebelow so as to face each other, and include heating instruments.
