Abstract
A rotor for a centrifuge is provided. The rotor comprises: one or more sample cavities for receiving samples; and an engagement pin. The engagement pin comprises a head at a distal end of the engagement pin. The head has in order from the distal end in a first direction: a first taper towards the distal end; and a second taper towards a proximal end of the engagement pin.

A rotor for a centrifuge, the rotor comprising:
- one or more sample cavities for receiving samples;
- an engagement pin, the engagement pin comprising a head at a distal end of the engagement pin, the head having in order from the distal end in a first direction:
- a first taper towards the distal end;
- and a second taper towards a proximal end of the engagement pin.
