Abstract
A golf club head with an improved adjustable weighting system for an iron and/or wedge type golf club head is disclosed herein. In accordance with the presently disclosed technology, the golf club head may include a body. The body may include a striking face and a back portion. The back portion may include a recessed channel and one or more weight pockets. The golf club head may include a weight assembly. The weight assembly may include a cover and one or more weights installable within the one or more weight pockets.

A golf club head comprising:
- a body comprising:
- a striking face;
- and
- a, wherein the back portion comprises:
- a recessed channel;
- and
- one or more weight pockets;
- and
- a weight assembly comprising:
- a cover to cover at least part of the recessed channel, wherein the cover comprises:
- a heelward side;
- and
- a toeward side;
- and
- one or more weights installable within the one or more weight pockets.
A golf club head comprising:
- a body comprising:
- a striking face;
- and
- a back portion extending rearward from at least a part of the striking face, wherein the back portion comprises:
- a recessed channel;
- and
- one or more weight pockets;
- and
- a weight assembly comprising:
- one or more interchangeable weights installable within the one or more weight pockets;
- a slidable cover to cover the one or more interchangeable weights in a locked configuration, wherein the slidable cover comprises:
- a cover through hole;
- and
- one or more cover weight pockets to engage at least part of the one or more interchangeable weights;
- and
- a fastener, fastenable along a fastener axis that is substantially along a heel-to-toe direction, to secure the slidable cover to the body.
A golf club head comprising:
- a body comprising:
- a striking face;
- and
- a back portion extending rearward from at least a part of the striking face, wherein the back portion comprises:
- a recessed channel;
- and
- two weight pockets comprising through holes in communication with an internal cavity of the golf club head, wherein the through holes of the two weight pockets are threaded;
- and
- a weight assembly comprising:
- two weights installable within the two weight pockets, wherein at least part of the two weights are exposed in a locked configuration, and wherein the two weights comprise threads to at least engage part of the through holes of the two weight pockets;
- and
- a cover to cover most of the recessed channel in the locked configuration, wherein the cover comprises:
- a heelward side comprising a first cover pocket to receive a first of the two weights in the locked configuration, wherein the first cover pocket comprises a first through hole aligned with a first one of the through holes of the two weight pockets;
- and
- a toeward side comprising a second cover pocket to receive a second of the two weights in the locked configuration, wherein the second cover pocket comprises a second through hole aligned with a second one of the through holes of the two weight pockets.
