Abstract

A respiratory mask is provided, comprising a mask body defining an exterior surface, a perimeter, and an interior cavity configured to cover a patient's nose and mouth. An inflatable ring is attached to the perimeter of the mask body, with the ring comprising a plurality of air chambers sealed from one another and connected to the perimeter by an adhesive material. The mask further includes at least two inlets on opposing lateral sides, configured to deliver or exhaust gases. The inlets may have threaded connections to securely engage with complementary fittings, such as caps or tubes that connect to a breathing circuit. The mask is designed for use with oxygen and anesthetic gas delivery systems and may include a gasket portion made of a thermoplastic elastomer material to provide a seal with the patient's skin.
