Abstract
The present invention relates to topical formulations, creams, serums, kits and adhesive patches including Arnica, black pepper, and turmeric. Also provided are methods for decreasing soreness, pain, bruising, and/or swelling in a subject by administering topical formulations and adhesive patches.
Claims79
A topical formulation comprising:
- Arnica present in an amount of 10% to 25% or about 10% to about 25% w/w;
- black pepper present in an amount of 0.5% to 7% or about 0.5% to about 7% w/w;
- and
- turmeric present in an amount 5% to 16% or about 5% to about 16% w/w.
A cream for decreasing soreness, pain, bruising, and/or swelling in a subject, comprising a topical formulation of Arnica, black pepper, and turmeric.
A serum for decreasing soreness, pain, bruising, and/or swelling in a subject, comprising a topical formulation of Arnica, black pepper, and turmeric.
An adhesive patch for decreasing soreness, pain, bruising, and/or swelling in a subject, comprising:
- a first superior surface;
- and
- a second inferior surface configured for application onto the subject's skin, the second inferior surface comprising a topical formulation, wherein the topical formulation comprises Arnica, black pepper, and turmeric.
A kit for use in decreasing soreness, pain, bruising, and/or swelling in a subject, the kit comprising:
- (i) a predetermined dose of a topical formulation comprising Arnica, black pepper, and turmeric;
- and
- (ii) an adhesive dressing.
The kit of any one of claims 52-54, wherein the topical formulation is topical formulation of any one of claims 1-19.
