Abstract
A device or system and related methods are disclosed to monitor a stimulation and or evoked response of at least one nerve. The device may be positioned near a subject. A stimulation electrode assembly configured to be positioned relative to a subject is disclosed. The stimulation electrode may be a connection or self-contained component.
Claims20
A monitoring system, comprising:
- an elongated tube having a first end and a second end, wherein the tube includes a wall defining an internal surface and an external surface;
- and
- an electrode contact and connector assembly, comprising,
- a substrate configured to be positioned on the external surface,
- an electrode contact printed on the substrate with a conductive material, wherein the electrode contact is exposed to a subject passage from the external surface of the tube,
- a connector printed on the substrate with the conductive material, wherein the connector is configured to extend from the electrode contact to the second end;
- wherein the substrate is fixed to the external surface as the electrode contact and connector assembly;
- wherein the internal surface of the elongated tube defines a cannula.

A monitoring system, comprising:
- an elongated tube having a first end and a second end, wherein the tube includes a wall defining an internal surface and an external surface;
- an electrode contact assembly comprising (i) a first substrate and (ii) an electrode contact printed on the substrate with a conductive material, wherein the electrode contact is exposed to a subject passage from the external surface of the tube,
- a connector assembly comprising (i) a second substrate configured to be positioned on the external surface and (ii) a connector printed on the substrate with the conductive material, wherein the connector is configured to extend from the electrode contact to the second end;
- a cushion assembly, wherein the cushion portion is positioned between at least the electrode contact and the external surface;
- and
- an inflatable member nearer the first end than the second end, wherein the inflatable member is configured to selectively seal a passage between the elongated tube and the subject passage;
- wherein the substrate is fixed to the external surface as the electrode contact and connector assembly;
- wherein the internal surface of the elongated tube defines a cannula.
5 more elements
A method of providing a tube for a monitoring system, comprising:
- providing an elongated tube having a wall defining an internal surface and an external surface that extends from a first end to a second end;
- providing an electrode contact assembly comprising printing on a first substrate an electrode contact of a conductive material;
- providing the electrode contact exposed from the external surface of the tube;
- providing a connector assembly comprising printing on a second substrate a connector of the conductive material;
- connecting the connector and the electrode contact;
- positioning a cushion assembly between at least the electrode contact and the external surface;
- providing an inflatable member nearer the first end than the second end;
- and
- fixing at least a portion of the substrate to the external surface;
- wherein the internal surface of the elongated tube defines a cannula.
