This disclosure relates to a device for cleaning surfaces, in particular, the device including a guide mechanism that allows smooth movement over a surface. This guide mechanism also allows the distance between the cleaning mechanism and a treated surface and a support surface to be adjusted, so that a controlled position can be maintained during a cleaning process. The device for cleaning surfaces has advantages in cleaning surfaces that are part of structures and constructions with corners, and, mainly, for cleaning the waterline of a pond or swimming pool.
