Abstract
The present invention relates to a portable electronic vaporizing device for use in the inhalation of vaporizable substances.
Claims30
An atomizer for a portable electronic vaporizing device comprising a base with one or more components for electrically connecting to a power source and/or controlling the device, the atomizer being removably attachable to the base of the device, the atomizer comprising:
- an atomizer inlet located towards a top end of the atomizer and configured to receive a flow of gas into the atomizer;
- an atomizer housing comprising one or more atomizer housing walls that at least partially define an atomizer internal flow path,
- a container within the atomizer housing that is capable of holding a vaporizable product, the container having one or more walls, wherein the atomizer internal flow path is defined between the one or more walls of the container and the one or more atomizer housing walls,
- a heating element capable of heating the vaporizable product held in the container and forming a vaporized product therefrom, and an electrode located towards a bottom end of the atomizer that provides an electrical connection between the heating element and the one or more components in the base, and
- one or more atomizer outlets capable of receiving the flow of gas from the atomizer internal flow path, and configured to provide the flow of gas out of the atomizer and to a conduit inlet of the base, and
- a fastener configured to allow the atomizer to removably attach to the base, and
- wherein during operation of the atomizer, the flow of gas received in the atomizer via the atomizer inlet becomes entrained with the vaporized product in the container, and flows out of the container and through the atomizer internal flow path to the one or more atomizer outlets.
