Abstract

A cartridge for an aerosol-generating system is provided, the cartridge including: a compartment containing a first aerosol-generating substrate, the first aerosol-generating substrate being a liquid or a gel; and a plurality of aerosol-generating granules, the plurality of aerosol-generating granules including a porous carrier medium defining a plurality of pores and a second aerosol-generating substrate releasably retained within the pores of the porous carrier medium, the second aerosol-generating substrate being a liquid or a gel including a flavourant and an aerosol former, the compartment further containing the plurality of aerosol-generating granules, and some or all of the plurality of aerosol-generating granules being dispersed in the first aerosol-generating substrate.
