Abstract
The present disclosure relates to, amongst other things, a method for a user equipment, UE, in a telecommunication system comprising a first access network node operating a first cell and at least one second access network node operating at least one network energy saving, NES, cell, the method comprising: receiving, from the first access network node, information relating to measurement opportunities for the at least one NES cell; and measuring signals transmitted by the at least one NES cell based on the received information.

A method for a mobile device, the method comprising:
- receiving, from a first access network node, first information relating to measurement opportunities for a network energy saving (NES) cell operated by a second access network node;
- performing a measurement of the NES cell based on the first information;
- and
- transmitting a wakeup signal (WUS) to the second access network node based on the measurement of the NES cell.
A method for an access network node, the method comprising:
- transmitting, to a mobile device, first information relating to measurement opportunities for a network energy saving (NES) cell operated by a second access network node, to allow the mobile device to perform a measurement of the NES cell, and wherein
- a wakeup signal (WUS) is transmitted from the mobile device to the second access network node based on the measurement of the NES cell.
A mobile device comprising:
- a memory configured to store instructions;
- and
- a processor configured to execute the instructions to:
- receive, from a first access network node, first information relating to measurement opportunities for a network energy saving (NES) cell operated by a second access network node;
- perform a measurement of the NES cell based on the first information;
- and
- transmit a wakeup signal (WUS) to the second access network node based on the measurement of the NES cell.
An access network node comprising:
- a memory configured to store instructions;
- and
- a processor configured to execute the instructions to:
- transmit, to a mobile device, first information relating to measurement opportunities for a network energy saving (NES) cell operated by a second access network node, to allow the mobile device to perform a measurement of the NES cell, and wherein
- a wakeup signal (WUS) is transmitted from the mobile device to the second access network node based on the measurement of the NES cell.
