Abstract
The present disclosure is related to handling of conditional mobility timing in wireless communications. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a user equipment (UE) may evaluate an execution condition for the CHO and an execution condition for a conditional primary secondary cell (PSCell) mobility, and delay performing a conditional handover (CHO) for a time period when the execution condition for the CHO is met while the execution condition for the conditional PSCell mobility is not met.
Claims17
A method comprising:
- receiving, from a network, a configuration for a conditional handover (CHO) to a target primary cell (PCell),
- wherein the configuration for the CHO comprises an execution condition for the CHO, and an execution condition for a conditional primary secondary cell (PSCell) mobility to a first target PSCell, and
- wherein the configuration for the CHO is related to a configuration for the conditional PSCell mobility;
- evaluating the execution condition for the CHO while evaluating the execution condition for the conditional PSCell mobility;
- after the execution condition for the CHO is met while the execution condition for the conditional PSCell mobility is not met, delaying performing the CHO for a time period;
- and
- based on the execution condition for the conditional PSCell mobility being not met during the time period, performing the CHO to the target PCell.
A user equipment (UE) comprising:
- at least one transceiver;
- at least one processor;
- and
- at least one memory operatively coupled to the at least one processor and storing instructions that, based on being executed by the at least one processor, perform operations comprising:
- receiving, from a network, a configuration for a conditional handover (CHO) to a target primary cell (PCell),
- wherein the configuration for the CHO comprises an execution condition for the CHO, and an execution condition for a conditional primary secondary cell (PSCell) mobility to a first target PSCell, and
- wherein the configuration for the CHO is related to a configuration for the conditional PSCell mobility;
- evaluating the execution condition for the CHO while evaluating the execution condition for the conditional PSCell mobility;
- after the execution condition for the CHO is met while the execution condition for the conditional PSCell mobility is not met, delaying performing the CHO for a time period;
- and
- based on the execution condition for the conditional PSCell mobility being not met during the time period, performing the CHO to the target PCell.

A network node comprising:
- at least one transceiver;
- at least one processor;
- and
- at least one memory operatively coupled to the at least one processor and storing instructions that, based on being executed by the at least one processor, perform operations comprising:
- obtaining a configuration for a conditional handover (CHO) to a target primary cell (PCell),
- wherein the configuration for the CHO comprises an execution condition for the CHO, and an execution condition for a conditional primary secondary cell (PSCell) mobility to a first target PSCell, and
- wherein the configuration for the CHO is related to a configuration for the conditional PSCell mobility;
- and
- transmitting, to a user equipment (UE), the configuration for the CHO to the target PCell,
- wherein the UE is configured to perform operations comprising:
- evaluating the execution condition for the CHO while evaluating the execution condition for the conditional PSCell mobility;
- after the execution condition for the CHO is met while the execution condition for the conditional PSCell mobility is not met, delaying performing the CHO for a time period;
- and
- based on the execution condition for the conditional PSCell mobility being not met during the time period, performing the CHO to the target PCell.
