Abstract
Examples pertaining to handling of multi-Universal Subscriber Identity Module (MUSIM) gaps collision in mobile communications are described. A multiple-Universal Subscriber Identity Modules (MUSIM) user equipment (UE) applies different priorities with respect to MUSIM gaps and legacy measurement gaps (MGs). The UE performs wireless communications such that a collision between MUSIM gaps and legacy MGs is handled.
Claims16
A method, comprising:
- receiving, by a processor of a multiple-Universal Subscriber Identity Modules (MUSIM) user equipment (UE), from a network a configuration of a dedicated priority with respect to each gap of a plurality of MUSIM gaps and a plurality of legacy measurement gaps (MGs);
- applying, by the processor, the configuration with respect to each gap of the plurality of MUSIM gaps and the plurality of legacy MGs;
- applying, by the processor, different priorities, which are configured by the network, with respect to the plurality of MUSIM gaps and the plurality of legacy MGs;
- and
- resolving, by the processor, collisions between the plurality of MUSIM gaps and the plurality of legacy MGs.

An apparatus implementable in a multiple-Universal Subscriber Identity Modules (MUSIM) user equipment (UE), comprising:
- a transceiver which, during operation, communicates wirelessly;
- and
- a processor coupled to the transceiver and which, during operation, performs operations comprising:
- receiving, via the transceiver, from a network a configuration of a dedicated priority with respect to each gap of a plurality of MUSIM gaps and a plurality of legacy measurement gaps (MGs);
- applying the configuration with respect to each gap of the plurality of MUSIM gaps and the plurality of legacy MGs;
- applying different priorities, which are configured by the network, with respect to the plurality of MUSIM gaps and the plurality of legacy MGs;
- and
- resolving collisions between the plurality of MUSIM gaps and the plurality of legacy MGs.
