Abstract
A terminal device is a terminal device communicatively connected to a management device. The terminal device includes a number-of-times setting unit that sets an acceptable number of times with respect to a reply request signal transmitted from the management device, a counter that counts down the acceptable number of times each time the reply request signal is accepted, and an address setting unit that sets a communication address transmitted from the management device as a communication address of the terminal device when the acceptable number of times is 0.
Claims18
A terminal device communicatively connected to a management device, the terminal device comprising:
- a number-of-times setting unit that sets an acceptable number of times with respect to a reply request signal transmitted from the management device;
- a counter that counts down the acceptable number of times each time the reply request signal is accepted;
- and
- an address setting unit that sets a communication address transmitted from the management device as a communication address of the terminal device when the acceptable number of times is 0.
A terminal device communicatively connected to a management device, the terminal device comprising:
- a number-of-times setting unit that randomly sets a predetermined number of times;
- a counter that counts a number of times of acceptance of a reply request signal transmitted from the management device;
- and
- an address setting unit that sets a communication address transmitted from the management device as a communication address of the terminal device when the number of times of acceptance matches the predetermined number of times.
A communication address setting method for a terminal device, the method comprising:
- randomly setting a predetermined number of times;
- counting a number of times of acceptance of a reply request signal transmitted from an external device;
- and
- setting a communication address transmitted from the external device as a communication address of the terminal device when the number of times of acceptance matches the predetermined number of times.
