Method, apparatus and system for providing a confederation network in a communication system

A system, comprising a plurality of network functions, the network functions including:

• a first function configured to establish and manage a confederation involving a plurality of network modules, the confederation providing a service via cooperation of the plurality of network modules;
• a plurality of second functions, each integrated into a respective one of the plurality of network modules and configured to generate a record of actions taken by said respective one of the plurality of network modules;
• and
• a third function configured to deploy and communicate with the plurality of second functions, and to perform surveillance of actions taken by the plurality of network modules, said surveillance based at least in part on said record of actions.

A non-transitory computer readable storage medium, comprising instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

• establishing and managing, by a first function of a plurality of network functions, a confederation involving a plurality of network modules, the confederation providing a service via cooperation of the plurality of network modules, wherein the plurality of network function are established using networked computing resources and are operatively coupled together;
• generating, by a plurality of second functions of the plurality of network functions, a record of actions taken by a respective one of the plurality of network modules, wherein each of the plurality of second functions is integrated into said respective one of the plurality of network modules;
• and
• deploying and communicating, by a third function of the plurality of network functions, with the plurality of second functions, and performing surveillance of actions taken by the plurality of network modules, said surveillance of actions based at least in part on said record of actions.
