Configuration and Power Control for SRS Bandwidth Aggregation for Uplink Positioning

A processor, comprising:

• a memory;
• and
• circuitry in communication with the memory and configured to cause a device to perform operations comprising:
• receiving, from a network node, a configuration for positioning sounding reference signals (SRSs) with carrier aggregation, wherein the configuration includes an SRS positioning resource group that includes an SRS positioning resource set, including time and frequency resources, for each component carrier (CC) of a plurality of CCs;
• determining resources to be used for the positioning SRSs based, at least in part, on the received configuration;
• and
• transmitting, to the network node, the positioning SRSs across the plurality of CCs based on the determination.

A non-transitory computer readable memory medium storing program instructions executable by processing circuitry of a device to cause the device to perform operations comprising:

• receiving, from a network node, a configuration for positioning sounding reference signals (SRSs) with carrier aggregation, wherein the configuration includes an SRS positioning resource group that includes an SRS positioning resource set, including time and frequency resources, for each component carrier (CC) of a plurality of CCs;
• determining resources to be used for the positioning SRSs based, at least in part, on the received configuration;
• and
• transmitting, to the network node, the positioning SRSs across the plurality of CCs based on the determination.
