Abstract

This application relates to the field of communication technologies and provides a communication method and apparatus. The method includes: determining a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) of a first sidelink positioning reference signal (SL-PRS) based on a symbol-level RSSI, and specifically includes: determining an RSSI of one or more first symbols (that is, a first RSSI); determining an RSSI of a first PSCCH (that is, a second RSSI), where the first physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) is associated with the first SL-PRS; determining an RSSI of one or more second PSCCHs (that is, a third RSSI), where the first PSCCH and the second PSCCH are on different subchannels; and determining a fourth RSSI based on the first RSSI, the second RSSI, and the third RSSI, where the fourth RSSI corresponds to the first SL-PRS.
