Abstract
A user equipment (UE) is configured to establish a connection to a base station in multi-transmission reception point (mTRP) mode, wherein the UE is configured with a first set of transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states to communicate with the base station, receive a TCI update, the TCI update indicating a second set of TCI states and update the first set of TCI states based on the second set of TCI states indicated by the TCI state update.

A method comprising:
- at a user equipment (UE):
- establishing a connection to a base station in multi-transmission reception point (mTRP) mode, wherein the UE is configured with a first set of transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states to communicate with the base station;
- receiving a TCI update, the TCI update indicating a second set of TCI states;
- and
- updating the first set of TCI states based on the second set of TCI states indicated by the TCI state update.
