Abstract

An evaluation method for a phased array antenna evaluates a phased array antenna including a plurality of antennas that perform transmission or reception of a first polarized wave and a second polarized wave whose oscillation directions are orthogonal to each other. A reference antenna, which is disposed to face the phased array antenna, has a reference direction and transmits or receives radio waves that oscillate in the reference direction is used. Evaluation of the first polarized wave and the second polarized wave are simultaneously performed in a state in which a first direction in which the first polarized wave oscillates is not parallel to the reference direction when viewed from a facing direction in which the phased array antenna and the reference antenna face each other, and a second direction in which the second polarized wave oscillates is not parallel to the reference direction when viewed from the facing direction.
